In the last game of the National Division's Round 19, played on Monday, December 6, Sheriff were held to a 1-1 draw by Academia UTM Chisinau, further distancing the reigning champions from the podium.
Amat Dhiedhiou scored first for Sheriff on 16 minutes, but Petru Leuca equalized for Academia eight minutes later.
Elsewhere, the results of Round 19 were the following: Iskra-Stal – Gagauziya 1-0, Milsami – FC Tiraspol 5-1, Zimbru – Olimpia 0-0, St. Gheorghe – Nistru 2-1, Rapid – Dacia 0-2, and Dinamo - FC Costuleni 1-0.
