One more accident at ill-fated intersection

A new traffic accident happened at the intersection of Sfatul Tarii and Mihail Kogalniceanu streets only several dates after three persons were injured in an accident in the same place. A minibus running on route No. 104 and a Mercedes collided on Tuesday at about 11.30, Info-Prim Neo reports. The car was traveling on Sfatul Tarii St, towards Stefan the Great Blvd. The driver said that at the junction with Mihail Kogalniceanu he waited until there was no car coming from the left side. Alongside, on the right, there was a Volkswagen-Transporter with dark windows. When it moved on, the driver of the Mercedes thought the road was free. The minibus braked sharply, but hit the Mercedes, projecting it into a pillar. Asked by IPN, the driver of the minibus said that he was carrying three passengers who got out about 200 meters from the place of the accident. Both of the drivers said the intersection is very dangerous and there should be placed traffic lights. Six persons were injured in road accidents in Chisinau on August 17.
