A young man aged 24 died and three were hurt when the car in which they travelled overturned in Gratiesti commune of Chisinau municipality in the evening of March 6.
Contacted by IPN, Natalia Stati, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division, said the driver died on the spot. Three passengers aged 28 and 29 were injured. These were given first aid, but weren’t hospitalized. It was preliminarily determined that the passengers were inebriated. In the case of the driver, a medical-legal examination will be performed to see if this was also under the influence of alcohol.
Contacted by IPN, Diana Blanaru, spokeswoman for the National Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine Center, said doctors provided medical assistance to two of the passengers – a young woman and a young man. These were transported to the hospital.
The police started a criminal case over violation of the road safety rules.
