A woman died and seven persons were hurt in a traffic accident near Porumbesti village of Cantemir district in the morning of March 15. Police inspector Denis Condur, of the Cantermir Police Inspectorate, has told IPN that two units of transport have collided.
One of the drivers tried to overtake a vehicle and crashed into a car coming from the opposite direction. As a result of the collision, one of the passengers of the car that tried to overtake - a woman aged 59 from Larguta, Cantemir - died on the spot. Another five occupants of the car, three of whom minors, were injured.
The driver who travelled legally and his wife, both aged 65, also from Larguta village sustained injuries too.
The exact causes of the accident are yet to be established.
