One in four employees earns up to 7000 lei

In September, three out of four employees (74.1%) had salaries above 7,000 lei, and every fourth (25.9%) earned up to 7,000 lei. The National Bureau of Statistics says that in the first month of the fall, the average gross salary amounted to 13,500 lei, IPN reports.

Out of the total number of employees, 5.4% - earned 5000 lei, 20.4% - earned between 5000 lei and 7000 lei, 46.6% - earned between 7000 lei and 15 000 lei, and 27.5% - earned more than 15 000 lei.

The breakdown by economic activities reveals a concentration of employees with lower salaries in administrative and support service activities, where 17.4% of employees had salaries of 5000 lei, and 18.1% - between 5000 lei and 6000 lei.

Financial and insurance activities are the areas with high salaries, 95% of the employees have salaries higher than 7000 lei, including 66.6% with salaries higher than 15 000 lei.
