One hour without electricity to save the planet

The Chisinau residents are invited to participate in the greatest mobilization of the people from the whole world against climate change. The event will take place in the evening of March 29, starting at 8 pm, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Earth Hour of the global conservation organization WWF is about getting involved and coming together to solve a global challenge. The towns and communities of the world will turn off the lights for an hour (8 pm – 9 pm) to show their engagement in finding solutions to combating climate change. A number of towns from Europe, North America and Asia will take part in the event. Chisinau will participate in this civic engagement of global importance alongside Chicago, Copenhagen, Manila, Melbourne, Sidney, Tel Aviv, and Toronto.
