The Academy of Sciences of Moldova purchased 12 trinocular microscopes to the value of about 262,000 lei and a mobile ecographer of 167,400 lei for the Oncology Institite as a result of a tender contest staged by the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices and the Oncology Institute, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué of the Oncology Institute, the microscopes form part of the third, trinocular generation. They enable to take clear and homogenous pictures, including digital ones. They also have simultaneous observation systems that allow several observers to become involved.
The Institute hasn’t purchased microscopes for tens of years. The existing ones are worn out. The new equipment will contribute to ensuring the quality and quantity of the results obtained by lab tests.
