Oncological Institute receives medical devices and medicines from IOM

The Oncological Institute got a new lot of medical devices and medicines for patients with cancer, both children and adults, from the International Organization for Migration, IPN reports.

The donation ceremony involved secretary of state of the Ministry of Health Ion Prisăcaru, IOM Chief of Mission to Moldova Lars Johan Lönnback, Deputy Chief of Mission of the U.S. Embassy in Chisinau Laura Hruby and medical workers.



The medical institution received neuromuscular transmission monitors, ultrasound devices, pumps for managing chemotherapeutical substances, heating devices for patients and implantable chambers for chemotherapy with accessories and other consumables for the treatment of persons with cancer.

The donation to the total value of UD$150,000 was made in the framework of the project “Humanitarian Assistance for Ukraine and the Neighboring Countries” that is financed by the U.S. Government.



The lot of medicines and medical devices donated on Friday is the third consignment provided to the Oncological Institute by IOM to ensure access to medical assistance, including for Ukrainian refugees.
