During the Easter holidays, the families with children and the persons with special needs will be referred to the Diplomatic Corps traffic lane at the most popular border crossing points. Mobile teams outfitted with special equipment will swiftly check the travel documents. The movement direction will be shown on boards, IPN reports.
According to the Border Police, it was decided to suspend the leave of employees and reserves will be formed of border inspectors to intervene if the flow of travelers is large. The heads of specialized divisions of the General Border Police Inspectorate will be assigned to manage things at the most crowded border crossing points.
The Border Police call on the financial-banking institutions based at border crossing points to review their working program so as to cope with the larger number of travellers who pay vignettes (roads taxes) in particular. It was also suggested setting up terminals outside the border crossing points so as to avoid the formation of lines.
There will be set up local border crossing points on the Moldovan-Ukrainian border in order to simplify the crossing by citizens of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine who permanently live in administrative border districts, based on identity cards or passports.
If need be, the number of mobile teams involved in the surveillance of the national roads near the state border will be increased.
