Fiodor Ghelici, the head of the public association “Moldova mea”, said the leaders of the protest that is to be mounted in the central square of Chisinau on August 26, are persons close to the ex-Premier Vlad Filat under whose guidance a number of illegalities and frauds were committed in the country. According to the activist, now these try to appear as honest persons, but they kept silent while wrongdoings were committed in 2012-2013.

In a news conference at IPN, Fiodor Ghelici addressed the citizens, saying the decision to go to the Great National Assembly Square is up to them, but urged them to meditate and answer the question “From moral viewpoint, can Maia Sandu and Andrei Năstase be the leaders of people and speak about morality and honesty?”.

The activist noted that the people during many years have been used by the politicians. These are urged to take to the streets and sleep in tents and are told about the most pressing problems, such as pensions, salaries and poverty, but then the politicians stay in comfortable seats, while the people return to their homes and are forgotten.

Fiodor Ghelici said he was also part of the Liberal Democratic Party when this was founded, but he decided to leave this party together with other colleagues after they understood that its leaders commit illegalities. The ex-Premier was surrounded by MPs with a dubious reputation. “Where was Maia Sandu, who now heads the protest movement? Maia Sandu was in the team of Mister Filat,” stated the activist.

As to Andrei Năstase, he said this was the senior legal consultant of a company that presented false documents in court and, as a result, almost 300 persons remained without property.

The head of “Moldova mea” reminded of the protests staged by Igor Dodon and Renato Usatyi when the people remained in tents overnight, while their leaders slept at home. He wondered what the people gained except for money, those who were paid. Only Igor Dodon stood to gain as he was elected to the office of President.

Fiodor Ghelici called on the people to think well before going to the protest that can degenerate as there will be provocations, according to him.
