The children’s rights ombudsman Vasile Coroi has reacted ex officio in three widely circulated cases.
One of them concerns a 15-year-old boy from Ialoveni, who was allegedly beaten and electroshocked by a peer in the school yard.
Two other cases concern two teenage girls: a 16-year-old orphan who was assigned to live with strangers, and a 15-year-old who gave birth prematurely and is considered at risk.
The Office of the People’s Advocate says that there is suspicion of statutory rape in the last two cases.
