Olympic champion Casapu most likely candidate for Sports Agency director's office

Tudor Casapu, an Olympic Champion at the 1992 Barcelona Games, is considered by the Moldovan media the most likely candidate to occupy the post of director of the National Sports Agency, Info-Prim Neo reports. Sources within the Agency have confirmed that the forecast might actually come true for the current head of the professional training division of the Sports Club Dinamo, after the post was vacated by Andrei Cimili on September 17. According to the same sources, Larisa Popova, Olympic winner at the 1980 Games in Moscow, ex-judoist Constantin Mereacre, and the president of the Baseball Federation Roman Ostapenco are another candidates who might win the post. The new director of the Agency will be appointed at the Cabinet's meeting on Wednesday.
