Olimpia and Dacia open Europa League campaigns with draws

The Moldovan clubs Olympia Balti and Dacia Chisinau managed but draws in their first matches in the Europa League qualifying round on Thursday, July 1, Info-Prim Neo reports. Olympia, debutant in the European competitions, played to a goalless draw with Azerbaijan's Khazar Lankaran. The game was far from being spectacular, with both teams showing little scoring opportunities. On July 8 Olympia will travel to Azerbaijan to fight for the ticket to Bucharest, where the winners will encounter Dynamo. Dacia drew 1-1 with FK Zeta in Molntenegro. The Yellow Wolves took the lead on the 39th minute thanks to Ghenadie Orbu, but an equalizer came 13 minutes before the final whistle, following a penalty kick after Pelicic had been sent off for the second yellow card. The second leg will be hosted by the Zimbru Stadium on July 8.
