Iurie Leanca will no longer be nominated for the post of Prime Minister and no pro-European coalition between the PLDM, PDM and PL will be formed, national gender, communication and electoral strategies expert Olga Nicolenco said in the program “Pahomi” on Realitatea TV channel, IPN reports.
Nicolenco argued that the Democratic Party does not want the Liberals to form part of the government. “Iurie Leanca said he will accept to run again for premiership only if a majority parliamentary coalition between the PLDM, PDM and PL is formed. Forming a coalition in this format means negotiating with the Liberals, but the Democrats said it clearly that they will no longer hold discussions with the PL,” stated the expert.
According to Olga Nicolenco, the PCRM will gain most of the benefits from this situation. “The PDM will accept a number of conditions imposed by Communists so as not to allow the Liberals to take part in governance,” she said.
The expert found excuses for the Liberal MPs’s decision not to vote for the Government. “Ghimpu was cheated not only once when he was in an alliance with the PLDM and PDM. It’s normal for him not to trust them. If those from the PDM and PLDM had had an honest behavior, I think Ghimpu would have voted only based on promises that he will take part in governance,” stated Nicolenco.
She considers that neither the PCRM will vote if Leanca is fielded again for premiership. “Voronin repeatedly said that they will not vote for him, especially because they earlier submitted four censure motions against the Government headed by Leanca and another four censure motions against some ministers, who were proposed for posts in the new Cabinet,” she said.
