Political analyst Olga Nicolenco is pessimistic about Moldovan politics in 2015 and thinks that the political class is impotent. She told IPN that her big wish for 2015 is for the politicians to start thinking about the ordinary people.

“For me, the first meeting of Parliament has shown that those who have won the elections are impotent and unable to make use of this victory. Meanwhile, the opposition has demonstrated the ability to make the most of its chances. This gives me a bad feeling. Unfortunately, the process of European integration won't progress as fast as we want precisely because of the incapacity displayed by the potential government coalition”, said the political pundit.

Nicolenco is also worried about the economic situation in the country. The delay of European integration will slow down the development in every area of economy. “I'm afraid it may even cool the attitude our European partners towards us. So, let's say that I'm not very optimistic”, she said.

The political analyst hopes that politicians in 2015 will put the interest of people above their own interests, goals and frustrations. Nicolenco also hopes that 5 years in power have been enough for the governing parties to satisfy their ambition and will now start to think about the ordinary people.
