Olga Bordeianu can take up as president of the National Public Broadcaster “Teleradio Moldova”. The Supervisory Board member Petru Grozavu filed an application, demanding that the vote of confidence given to her on June 4 should be annulled, but the jurists attending today’s meeting of the Board said the legislation does not allow this and Olga Bordeianu remained thus president of the company.
The Board’s chairwoman Ludmila Vasilache has told IPN that Olga Bordeianu could have sued the Board, as she warned. The head of “Teleradio Moldova” can be dismissed by five votes in favor if a lot of violations are committed and no significant progress is made during six months.
Ludmila Vasilache noted that the Board also rejected a challenge filed by Nicu Scorpan, who ran for the post of president of the company. This asserts that Olga Bordeianu included untrue data in her CV. According to Vasilache, the candidates submit an own responsibility statement pledging they provide true information and if Nicu Scorpan has evidence, he can go to court.
Olga Bordeianu worked as program director at the TV channel CTC-Dixi until 2013. In her CV, she says that she studied at the New York Film Academy, the TV production and direction specialty. The press reported later that she didn’t actually study at this academy. Bordeianu explained that she attended courses staged by the academy in Moscow.
