Oleg Cernei misses date with prosecutors, Mark Tcaciuk is late

Chisinau councilman Oleg Cernei failed to appear today before prosecutors in the case of the April events. According to prosecutor Igor Popa, Oleg Cernei was summoned to appear at 08.30, but failed to do so for reasons unknown, Info-Prim Neo reports. Contacted by telephone, Cernei said he didn't receive any summons for prosecutorial hearings. Now he is due to appear on February 4, at 10.00. Mark Tcaciuk was also expected by the prosecutors today, at 10.00. One hour later, a spokesperson for the Prosecutor General's Office said the Communist MP would eventually show up at around 13.00. Oleg Cernei and Mark Tcaciuk are both quizzed as witnesses in the case of the April events.
