The candidate for the mayoralty of Chisinau on behalf of the Party “Democratia Acasa” Oleg Brega started his election campaign. He said that this time he is not alone, as in the parliamentary elections, because now he is supported by a team of people who want honest politics, without image polishing, and want to really work for the benefit of the municipality of Chisinau, IPN reports.
Oleg Brega noted that he some of the members of the Party “Democratia Acasa” had been his colleagues, while with the party’s leader Vasile Costiuc he worked at a TV channel and this was persecuted by the police during the April 2009 events.
As to his electoral program, Oleg Brega said he will demand that the municipal bodies should work, implement the laws and solve the people’s problems. If he manages to become a mayor, he will be the first who will organize local referendums to engage the people in taking decisions concerning the city’s infrastructure, the laying out of parks or rivers, etc. He will also consult projects that can be implemented in Chisinau municipality with Moldovans who settled abroad.
The leader of the Party “Democratia Acasa” Vasile Costiuc said they chose the plaque Kilometer Zero as a place for entering the race because the party will incur zero costs in the campaign, will reach zero agreements with the oligarchic bodies and will show zero tolerance of the acts of corruption.
The politician said the list of candidates for posts on the Chisinau Municipal Council includes not company directors or people who pursue particular goals, but young people who want to remain at home and to improve life in Chisinau. The list was compiled based on such criteria as gender equality, age and the rights of persons with special needs.
