A 70-year-old man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the rape of two children taken by his wife in her care. The sexual abuse began when the girls were 4 and 10 years old and lasted for several years, IPN reports.
The Prosecutor General’s Office said that the abuses against the minor born in 2008 took place between 2012 and 2022. It happened in the defendant’s house in a village in the center of the country. He used his influence over the minor who was taken under guardianship by his wife and took advantage of the victim’s inability to defend herself, sexually abusing her through physical and psychological constraints.
Between 2016 and 2017, the man abused the second minor born in 2006. The girl was also in his wife’s care.
The man was convicted of rape and non-consensual sexual actions committed against persons who did not reach the age of 14. The defendant, who pleaded not guilty, is to serve his sentence in a closed prison.
