“Official Paper of Children’s Rights in Moldova” launched

The children’s working group for monitoring the rights of children in Moldova issued its first electronic bulletin titled “Official Paper of Children’s Rights in Moldova”, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Child Rights Information and Documentation Center.
The first edition of the paper was released on the day when the law on the prevention and combating of family violence took effect. The right to protection against violence is one of the rights that this group of children aims to monitor for two years.
The Official Paper of Children’s Rights in Moldova is published with the contribution of the 26 children from the children’s working group for monitoring the rights of children set up by the Child Rights Information and Documentation Center in July 2008. The children that form part of the working group are aged between 11 and 15 and represent 12 regions of Moldova: Balti, Briceni, Calarasi, Causeni, Chisinau, Cimislia, Drochia, Falesti, Orhei, Sangerei, Telenesti and Ungheni. The message of the group is: “All Things in Moldova Should Start with the Right. With the Right of the Child.”
Founded in 1998, the Child Rights Information and Documentation Center is a nongovernmental organization that manages educational and social programs, develops projects and services like researches, studies, projects on access to information for all applicants, training courses, publications, participative arts etc.
