The former Presidents of Moldova wil have an office where to hold official meetings and an assistant who will manage the office. A bill to this effect was registered by a group of MPs of the parliamentary alliance, IPN reports.
Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu, who is one of the authors, told the press that as a result of discussions with ex-Presidents of Moldova and other states, he ascertained that a number of protocol matters imply cooperation between the former Heads of State. For these not to be permanently in search of offices where to meet with ex-Presidents or foreign delegations, it was decided to institute an office and to hire an assistant who will deal with the mail and phone calls.
Andrian Candu a noted that this office will be intended not only for President Nicolae Timofti, but for all the ex-Presidents. “It will be one office and one assistant for all the former Heads of State, which these will use in rotation,” he said.
When the initiative is adopted, the State Chancellery will identity the office.
