The capacity of mobile services of the National Employment Agency (ANOFM) will be strengthened. The Agency’s local subdivisions in Edinet, Soroca, Straseni and Leova received four off-road vehicles and five sets of equipment, including laptops, multifunctional printers and mobile phones. The donation was made in the framework of the “Strong Enterprises and Communes for Moldova” Project that is funded by the Governments of Germany and Switzerland and is implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), IPN reports.
“Through the agency of the mobile team, we will identify inactive people from rural areas and will continue to work towards their integration into the labor market. In the current conditions, the mobile teams can be an efficient tool on the labor market both for identifying people outside the labor force and for contributing to the development of employment partnerships,” said ANOFM director Raisa Dogaru, being quoted in a press release.
With the support of the Government of Switzerland, 21 ANOFM employees during December 14-15, 2023 attended a training session on topics of interest for the Agency, centering especially on further work within mobile teams. For February-April, follow-up sessions for the training session, assistance in developing and finalizing the related procedural framework, consultancy and mentoring to ensure an efficient, beneficiary-oriented piloting process were planned.
“For us, developing the capacity to reach the most marginalized groups, even traveling long distances, is a priority is. It is important for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova because their chances of finding a job increase and this contributes directly, positively, to the country’s economy as well. The country needs as many people as possible to be integrated into the labor market,” said Guido Beltrani, Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Moldova.
The donation to the value of €85,000 was made with the support of the “Strong Enterprises and Communes for Moldova” Project that is funded by the Governments of Germany and Switzerland and is implemented by GIZ Moldova, based on a Memorandum of Understanding signed with ANOFM on August 24, 2023.
