“I congratulate all the inhabitants of Chisinau on this important date, October 14, which speaks about the achievements of Chisinau. Let us all contribute to solving the curent problems, especially in favor of children, to keeping the city clean and improving its beauty. Let there be intelligent and special people who care about their city”. This is the head of the Municipal Division for education, youth and sports Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb's message on the Chisinau Day. Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb told Info-Prim Neo the city had many gifted children who participated in various contests and teachers with special merits, awarded by te praetors of sectors. There is even a Council of children with special performances, who participated and continue to take part in diverse contests and involve in youth activities. This year, a new municipal project has been launched and namely an essay contest “My city, my pride” and the photo contest “Chisinau: today and yesterday”, with the participation of pupils from several schools. “We also organize other sportive and cognitive activities. We have a municipal contest of floral arrangements”, said the head of Division for education, youth and sports. Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb spoke about collaboration projects with Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Russia, France, Spain, Poland and other countries. “These projects are ongoing during the whole period of studying. In this regard, we created a public relations and information section which focuses on experience exchanges and collaboration contracts with these countries”, she said. On the occasion of the City Day, the City Hall Handball Cup has started these days. The participants are teachers and students from Russia, Romania, Ukraine and Moldova. Another event organized on the same occasion is the international dancesport contest Chisinau Open 2011, on October 15-16.
