The households and four public institutions in Ocolina commune, Soroca district, have been connected to the Soroca-Balti water main and will now have access to tap water. The project was financed from the National Fund for Regional Development.

In order to connect the commune to the water main, it was necessary to build water supply and sewage networks, reservoirs and a water processing plant. The total cost of the project was 11 million lei, IPN learned from a press release of the Agency for Regional Development (ADR).

The next stage of the project will see aqueducts built in Valoave and Parcani villages, in the same district. The villagers of Tepilova, part of the Ocolina commune, have been enjoying tap water since May.
