The occurrence of diarrhea- and cholera-related diseases is dropping on, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Preventive Medicine Center. 589 cases were reported from 1 through 7 September as compared to 594 cases registered the previous week. The children below 17 go on being the mostly affected (61.6% of the total). Of 114 samples of water, the Vibrion cholerae Non 01 was tracked in 22% (24% - the previous week). In general the epidemiological situation related to cholera and diarrhea diseases is assessed as satisfactory. Yet, as the new school year begins and new groups of children form, the threat of the epidemiological situation getting worse is there, Preventive Medicine Center specialists warn.
