/Update 4:00pm/: Bomb disposal technicians collected the shell and will destroy it after examining it. It is not yet known how the bomb got there. The shell is rusty. Most probably it dates from World War II.

An object that looks like a shell was found by workers during digging works near a water supply station in Botanica district of Chisinau in the morning of December 24. The workers called the 112 Service, IPN reports.
Asked by IPN to provide details, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati said the call to 112 was made at about 10am. All the specialized services were at the scene immediately and the area was fenced.
Bomb disposal technicians are working at the scene.
