Oazu Nantoi is the candidate for the mayoralty of Chisinau fielded by the Electoral Bloc “European People’s Party of Moldova - Iurie Leanca”. The announcement was made by the platform’s leader Iurie Leanca in a news conference, IPN reports.
Iurie Leanca said the electoral bloc he heads will not spend millions of euros in the election campaign because it does not have such sums, but will center on the dialogue with the residents of Chisinau so as to find out the problems they face. The bloc will not become involved in political confrontations with the parties of the right and is confident of its success in the campaign.
In the near future, there will be made public the list of candidates for the posts of municipal councilor. The documents needed for registration will be submitted to the Chisinau District Electoral Council on April 29.
Oazu Nantoi said he knows the problems faced by the inhabitants of Chisinau and considers that the capital city needs a mayor of all the people, who will be able to change the atmosphere in the city and to offer it a human image.
