Oath taking activity at Embassy of Romania to be gradually resumed

As of October 7, the Consular Section of the Embassy of Romania in Chisinau will restore the timetable for taking an oath of allegiance to Romania, IPN reports.

At the first stage, during October 7-16, the persons who were scheduled to take part in official oath taking ceremonies in March 2020 will be invited to come to the Consular Section.

The program is as follows:

– Session of March 17, 2020 will be rescheduled for October 7, 2020;
– Session of March 18, 2020 will be rescheduled for October 8, 2020;
– Session of March 19, 2020 will be rescheduled for October 9, 2020;
– Session of March 24, 2020 will be rescheduled for October 14, 2020;
– Session of March 25, 2020 will be rescheduled for October 15, 2020;
– Session of March 26, 2020 will be rescheduled for October 16, 2020.

Each session is divided into four intervals in alphabetical order, as follows:

– Starting with 08:15am for family names ranging between letters A and C;
– Starting with 10:15am family names ranging between letters D and I;
– Starting with 13:15am family names ranging between letters J and P;
– Starting with 15:15am family names ranging between letters R and Z.

At the second stage, as of October 19, the oath taking activity will be resumed for persons whose appointments were annulled following the restraining of the activity of the Consular Section owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. These appointments will be strictly rescheduled in chronological order and the persons will receive all the necessary information through the email address used to register on the portal www.econsulat.ro. The Consular Section’s work program will depend on the epidemiological situation and the sessions could be diminished or extended.

The persons will be allowed to enter the Consular Section only on the set dates and during the set interval and only with face masks and in the absence of symptoms associated with COVID-19, such as high fever, cough, rhinorrhea and breathing difficulties, and by maintaining a physical distance of minimum 1.5 meters.

Only at most eight persons will be allowed to enter the waiting room simultaneously. The access of relatives and friends is banned.
