Nuta - Sprincean pair finishes sixth at Canoe Sprint World Championships

The Oleg Nuta – Ilie Sprincean pair ranked sixth in the 500 meter race with the result of 1:42.324 at the Canoe Sprint World Championships that were held in the Czech town of Racice, IPN reports.

Russia’s Viktor Melantev and Ivan Shtyl won with 1:38.868, being followed by Romania’s Leonid Carp – Victor Mihalachi and brothers Nicolae and Sergiu Craciun, who represent Italy.

The Nuta – Sprincean pair competed also in the 1 000 meter race, but failed to qualify for the final.

This year Oleg Nuta and Ilie Sprincean have become world and European youth champions in the 500 meter race.
