The nursery school in Festelita village of Stefan Voda district was renovated with the financial support of the Government of Romania through the program of technical and financial assistance provided to a number of preschool education institutions of Moldova, to the value of €20 million, IPN reports.
According to a communique of the program implementation team, about €90,000 (over 2 million lei) was allocated for the rehabilitation of the nursery in Festelita. This money was used to repair an unfinished two-story block. There were built sanitary facilities and the heating system. The water supply and sewerage systems were renovated. The floor and walls were renovated, while the roof, windows and doors were replaced.
As a result of the repair works performed at the nursery “Voinicel”, the number of places there for children was increased from 120 to 160. There were created six new workplaces in the village.
The beneficiaries of the grant provided by the Government of Romania include 774 nurseries from 32 districts of Moldova and over 200,000 persons – children, parents, teachers and auxiliary staff.
