Number of viroses on the rise

The number of viroses is increasing in Chisinau Municipality, with 200 new cases since last week. Doctors explain the rise in the incidence on the sudden cooling of weather. No flu cases have been recorded yet. Head of the municipal health division Luminita Suveica told Info-Prim Neo that 1800 viroses were registered in Chisinau last week. Children are the most vulnerable, with 1200 cases. Luminita Suveica listed runny noses, sneezing, cough, fever and headaches among the symptoms of viroses. People who caught the disease are recommended to see a general practitioner for treatment. They should avoid crowded places, cover their mouth with a napkin when coughing or sneezing and wear protection masks when meeting other people. Doctors say the incidence of viroses is caused by the sudden cooling of weather and recommend the consumption of vitamin C rich products like lemons, black and red currants, and of antimicrobial products like garlic and onion.
