The number of persons confirmed with COVID-19 on February 2 is twice higher than the figure for February 1. But the number of done tests is also higher. Of the 2,564 tests performed today, 639 were positive. Yesterday, there were done 1,382 tests and the virus was detected in 282 of them, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Health.
The Ministry today reported 16 deaths from COVID-19. The victims, 11 women and five men, were aged between 51 and 82.
Of the 2,471 patients with COVID-19 who are now hospitalized, 258 are in a very serious state and 46 of them were put on a ventilator.
The total number of cases of COVID-19 now stands at 160,725. As many as 3,433 persons with mild or moderate forms of COVID-19 are receiving treatment at home, while 15,855 are under supervision at home.
