Number of fire fatalities goes up

Two women aged 82 died from carbon monoxide poisoning in fires in their homes on the first day of spring. Dorina Cruc, press officer with the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that one of the fires broke out in a house in Grinauti village of Ocnita district as a result of a short circuit. The second fire in Sarata-Rezesti village of Leova district was caused by a burning coal that fell out of the stove. The 328 fires that happened in Moldova this year resulted in 63 deaths.
