The number of COVID-19 cases in Chisinau last week increased by more than 800 cases or by over 26% compared to the previous week, Vladimir Bolocan, head of the General Medical and Social Assistance Division, stated in the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services, IPN reports.
He noted that in the section for patients with COVID-19 with 40 places, which was recently opened at the Municipal Clinical Phthisiopneumology Hospital, 34 beds are occupied and five of the patients are connected to oxygen.
In this connection, Vladimir Bolocan urged the people to get vaccinated against Covid-19, announcing that a vaccination campaign against seasonal flu will also start soon.
