Almost 37 thousand beneficiaries of temporary protection are registered in Chisinau municipality. Deputy Mayor Angela Cutasevici told IPN that since march 1, 2023, when the information system of the General Inspectorate for Migration was launched, there has been a steady increase in the number of beneficiaries.
"These data emphasize the importance of effective coordination to ensure access to services and the harmonious integration of beneficiaries into our community", says Angela Cutasevici.
Of the total number, 12.5 thousand beneficiaries of temporary protection are in the suburbs. According to the age distribution, 8.5 thousand are minors, 25.6 thousand are adults aged between 18 and 59, and there are less than 3 thousand seniors over 60.
At national level there are 63.7 thousand people benefiting from temporary protection, according to data from the General Inspectorate for Migration.
