In the first nine months of the year, more than 6500 apartments and individual dwellings were put into operation, by 58% more than in the same period last year. The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in the urban area, nearly 6000 apartments were put into operation.

Asked by IPN, the director of Cvartal Imobil company, Victor Cornea, has commented that the tendency to increase the number of individual houses or apartments put into operation during the period January-September is explained by the high demand. The political situation in the country has stabilized, and people have gained more confidence in the made investments, said Victor Cornea. Also, maintains the director of the company, more and more people want to move from old blocks into new ones.

Victor Cernomorcenco, director of the marketing department of Access Imobil company, reminds that in 2018 six thousand apartments were put into operation, while in 2017 - over 7200. Looking back, we notice a cyclical trend, every two years it varies, either increases or decreases. It is explained by the duration of the construction works. The building of a new block takes about two years. For 2019, the constructions started in 2017 are considered, said Victor Cernomorcenco.

Asked by IPN, IDIS Viitorul expert Veaceslav Ioniță said that the apartments that were put into operation during the first nine months of the year, were most likely sold last year and built two or three years ago. There is a difference of several years between the construction, sale and putting into operation of a dwelling.

Veaceslav Ionita also mentioned that, earlier than three years ago, construction companies were delaying the putting into operation of dwellings. Only in 2017, when several abusive provisions related to the putting into operation of houses were eliminated, the local public administration being taken out of the process, a "real estate boom" took place and most of the dwellings in the country's history were put into operation. In 2018 there was a market collapse, everything that was available was put into operation in 2017, while now, in 2019, the situation is getting back to normal, has explained Veaceslav Ioniță. The expert has estimated that the number of apartments sold this year will reach 25 thousand, by ten thousand more than the average of the last years.
