The pro-Moldova public assembly that will be mounted by the parties of the government coalition on November 3 to promote Moldova’s European vector is a beneficial one. But it should be organized by different methods. The fact that it is staged by political parties causes distrust. The issue was discussed by political analysts in the program “Politics” on TV7 channel, IPN reports.

According to political analyst Alexei Tulbure, Moldova’s European course needs to be supported, but such actions should be organized by civil society or an organizational committee. The government should not take part in such ‘absurd’ events. Society must be convinced and attracted by different methods, for example by results.

According to political analyst Igor Botan, the sociological data show that 50% of the population support Moldova’s European course, but the political parties that stage this event are supported two times less. According to him, if the event had been organized by Prime Minister Iurie Leanca or Speaker Igor Corman, it would have been more truthful and would have been more successful.

Political analyst Bogdan Tardea considers that the leaders of the government coalition want to show the international bodies that the association with the EU is supported by the people, but it’s not clear if this thing will be achieved. “If the event is not supported by some of the extraparliamentary parties, there may appear contradictory effects,” he stated. He doubted it that the people can be mobilized during a week and they will be most probably mobilized by administrative resources.

Political analyst Viorel Cibotaru said the people must decide by themselves if they want to go to the Great National Assembly Square on November 3 or not, while the attempts to bring the people there by force are condemnable.

On November 3, the parties of the government coalition will stage a pro-Moldova demonstration in central Chisinau to inform the people about the country’s European course and to find out their viewpoints on this course.
