Judoka Norin Tatarescu had only one fight at the World Judo Championships that are taking place in Budapest. In the 73 kg weight class, he was beaten by Portugal’s Nuno Saraiva, IPN reports.

One day earlier, Denis Vieru scored a victory in the 66 kg class, but was eliminated by the future finalist Mikhail Puliaev of Russia. The competition in Hungary will also involve Nicon Zaboroshchuk (81 kg), Dorin Gotonoaga (81 kg) and Denis Takii (100 kg).

The World Judo Championships in Budapest brought together 731 athletes from 126 countries. The four gold medals have been won by Japan. The competition ends on September 3.
