Non-domestic users will receive subsidies for the first 500 meters of natural gas consumed each month during January-March, in the amount of 12.27 lei (without VAT) per cubic meter. The subsidization mechanism for business entities was approved by the Commission for Exceptional Situations, IPN reports.
The mechanism also envisions the provision of subsides to enterprises with increased natural gas consumption operating in the agrifood, clothing and footwear, glass, carpet, paper and cardboard manufacturing industries. The companies will be able to apply for the second type of subsidies if the monthly gas bill (without VAT) represents at least 5% of the value of delivered goods and services a particular month. In this case, the gas subsidy will be 12.27 lei (without VAT) per cubic meter, but not more than 1.5 million lei per non-domestic customer a month. The subsidy for the first 500 cubic meters will be excluded from the subsidized amount.
The business entities can ask for gas subsidies through the electronic reporting one-stop shop. The last application should be submitted by May 12, 2023.
The total sum of subsidies provided to non-household customers will not exceed 230 million lei. The money was allocated from the Government’s intervention fund.
The Commission for Exceptional Situations also allowed non-domestic users to purchase up to 200 meters steres of wood of soft and resinous types for own use.
