No party exceeded revenues and expenditure ceiling in election campaign

No political organization exceeded the maximum amount of 22 million lei that could be transferred to the electoral fund of the June 5 local elections. According to a communiqué from the Central Election Commission, slightly over 11 million lei was the highest amount spent by a party in the election campaign, Info-Prim Neo reports. The lowest sym spent by a runner on the elections was 5,166 lei. An electoral contender reported ‘zero’ incomes and expenses. Of the 1,812 independent candidates registered by the district electoral councils, 1,715 reported that they did not open the bank account “Electoral Fund” and did not perform financial operations, while the other 97 contenders presented financial reports. The sums spent were within the limits allowed.
