No instances of expired coronavirus vaccines being administered to the public have been recorded in Chisinau, said Mayor Ion Ceban after meeting with the municipal vaccination management team.
After the Court of Audits last week found that about 7,000 doses might have been administered past their expiry date, the Mayor’s Office ordered its own inspection in addition to the probe started by the Ministry of Health.
“I’m declaring with all responsibility and certainty that in Chisinau not a single expired dose has been administered”, Ceban posted to Facebook.
As of today, about 286,000 Chisinau residents have received at least one shot, 186,000 two shots, and 7,000 a booster dose.
