The Nistru River flooded in Rezina district. The water reached the yards of the church and a house in Ciorna village. There was also inundated a garage.
Contacted by IPN, the district’s head Eleonora Graur said the level of water in the flooded yard of the house is 20 cm, but the situation is under control. “We are permanently monitoring the level of water in the river. The Emergencies Service is ready to intervene in case of danger,” she stated.
The water in the Nistru near the settlements of Rezina district measures 1.57 meters, being under the critical level of 1.80 meters. In 2010, Rezina was among the districts that were struck by floods.
