The ninth and twelfth graders enter the graduation exams session in less than a week. The exams session for ninth graders will take place during June 4-14, while the Baccalaureate session for twelfth graders during June 5-22, IPN reports.
Under an order made by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, the ninth graders this year will take three exams. The students speaking other languages than Romanian will also sit the exam in the Romanian language and literature, on June 4. The firs exam for all the ninth graders, in math, will be taken on June 7. This will be followed by the exam in the language of study on June 11 and the exam in the history of Romanians and universal history on June 14. All the exams will be in written form.
The 2018 Baccalaureate exams start on June 5 for other-language speakers, in the Romanian language and literature. On June 8, there will be sat the exam in the language of study, while on June 12 the exam in the foreign language. The next exam will be taken on June 15, in math by students who study exact sciences and in history by those who study humanities. The students of arts schools will sit exams in arts or sports. The exam in the subject of one’s choice will be taken on June 19. The last exam, in the Ukrainian, Gagauz or Bulgarian language and literature, will be sat on June 22.
There will be opened 92 Baccalaureate centers, 30 of which in the municipality of Chisinau and 62 in other towns.
In a press release, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research said 828 students will get 864 grades of “10” ex officio. A number of 28 students will get by two grades of “10” ex officio, while four students by three grades of “10”.
As many as 18,776 lyceum students will take Baccalaureate exams this year. Of these, 3,077 are students who failed the exams the previous sessions.
