Nine political organizations have submitted today applications to the Central Election Commission (CEC), asking being registered as election contenders. The lists and the other documents presented by the parties will be examined during seven days, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN) filed the documents at noon. “Our list of candidates contains reliable persons. It was compiled following the party’s ‘purification’,” said the party’s first vice president Victor Osipov . For the first time, the AMN’s list includes 38 women, in accordance with the party’s statutes. MP Veaceslav Platon is not on the list. Victor Osipov said the AMN would form part of the future ruling coalition and would have at least 10 seats of MP. The AMN’s campaign slogan is “We Fulfill our Duty”.
Among other parties that lodged the documents in the first half of the day were the European Action Movement, the Party for Country and Nation, and the Christian-Democratic People’s Party. The last party’s leader Iurie Rosca said that if the Christian-Democrats entered Parliament, they would form a coalition with center-right parties. The party’s list contains 101 candidates, including Iurie Rosca, Stefan Secareanu, and Victor Ciobanu. Vlad Cubreacov is absent.
The representatives of the National Liberal Party, the Republican Party, Moldova’s Patriots, and the Communists Party presented themselves at the CEC before 8am. The Liberal Party came later.
At 5pm, the CEC will hold a draw to decide the order in which the parties will be written in ballots.
