Nine children who remained without parental care and are beneficiaries of placement services of the Chisinau Children’s Rights Protection Division spent the winter vacation in Italy, as part of families of Italians, during December 22, 2019 – January 8, 2020.

In a press release, the Division said the visit was made based on a cooperation agreement between the municipal Division and the Volunteer Association PUER Onlus Moral Body that is responsible for issuing authorizations to families that intend to host children, IPN reports.

The children, together with members of the Italian families that lodged them, visited the Colosseum and Trojan’s Column.

The children tasted traditional Italian dishes, visited relatives of the Italian families where they celebrated Christmas and the birthday of a beneficiary. They familiarized themselves with Italian traditions and customs and visited shops in Rome. They received presents and spent several days at the workplace of members of the families.
