The Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Nicu Popescu is paying a working visit to Brussels during January 24 – 25. While in Brussels, he will raise such issues as the priorities of cooperation with NATO and strengthening of the political dialogue with the European Union, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the official will meet with NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoană, Secretary General of the European External Action Service Stefano Sannino and with other representatives of European institutions.
Nicu Popescu will also have meetings with the chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament David McAllister, Romanian MEP Dragoș Tudorache, the European Parliament’s Rapporteur for the Republic of Moldova and Renew Europe Group vice president, and chairman of the EU – Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee Siegried Mureșan, vice chair of the group of the European People’s Party (Christian Democrats) and with representatives of different parliamentary groups.
