President Nicolae Timofti will pay a visit to Poland on April 14-15. Details of the visit were discussed in a meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who visited Moldova on March 28, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the presidential press service, the officials conferred on Moldova’s path to European integration, the political situation in the region and the bilateral relations. “Our immediate accomplishments – the liberalization of the visa regime and the signing of the Association Agreement with the EU – are significantly due to the constant support provided by Poland,” stated Nicolae Timofti.
He noted that Moldova has the necessary determination to continue the European course, despite the political crisis in the region and the challenges from the opponents of this course. But it needs the support of the international partners too.
For his part, Donald Tusk said that Moldova will continue to enjoy support from Poland so as to achieve the set objectives.
