Nicolae Timofti pleased by how Maria Biesu Festival was organized

Moldova's President Nicolae Timofti has praised organizers for the way the Maria Biesu Festival was held this year and congratulated participants on their performance, the President's Office said in a press released. The President stated that he is proud that Moldova has managed to organize such an international cultural event, which will end tomorrow, September 15, with an award ceremony. The President also wanted to pay homage to the great Soprano of the National Opera Maria Biesu, who died earlier this year, a few months before the Festival that she named and started. The Festival took place during September 7-15 and gathered artists from 8 different countries.
