The Republic of Moldova courageously committed itself to cover the European course. Romania, which realized very well the stages of this process, is maximally deposed to support the Republic of Moldova on the path of European integration, Romanian Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă stated in a meeting with President Maia Sandu at the Presidential Palace, IPN reports.
The Romanian official noted he is very glad that he came to Chisinau to reaffirm the support that Romania offers to the Republic of Moldova. “We realize very well the context and situation in the Republic of Moldova. In the last meeting you had in Bucharest with Mister President Iohannis, you was assured that Romania will help Moldova with what it need to remain stable and committed to its road to the European Union,” stated Nicolae Ciucă.
He added that Romania makes approaches inside the European Union for this to continue to offer support to maintain government, economic, social stability in the Republic of Moldova. As a result of discussions held in Bucharest and now in Chisinau, the economic assistance for the Republic of Moldova will be extended so that the county’s citizens are sure that the current government does everything to maintain economic stability and to improve the living conditions.
President Maia Sandu expressed her gratitude for the support offered by Romania to the Republic of Moldova. “We successfully passed winter and this happened also due to you support. We need to further maintain stability in the country and to offer safety to our citizens. On the other hand, we make effort to build economic resilience so that we can raise the living standards in the Republic of Moldova and you supported us in all these dimensions,” said the Moldovan official.
According to President Sandu, the Republic of Moldova has a hectic agenda in the European integration process. “The meeting of the European Council will take place this week and we know that Romani there struggles for the interests of the Republic of Moldova and also for the next steps on the path of European integration,” stated Maia Sandu.
