The lack of action on the part of the state institutions in the case of the theft committed at three banks endangered the economic security of the state, political analyst Nicolae Chrtoaca said in the program “Place for dialog” on Radio Moldova station, IPN reports.
“They stole a sum equal to one fourth of the annual budget of the state. All the roads go to Ilan Shor, who seems to have been made a scapegoat, while those from the state institutions pretend to be impotent, invoking the lack of the necessary mechanisms,” stated the analyst.
Chirtoaca considers the hearing over the Kroll report held in Parliament is welcome. “The hearings are very useful. For the first time there were said distinct things,” he said.
Nicolae Chrtoaca also said that the director of the National Anticorruption Center Viorel Chetraru described things most concretely. “I’m tempted to believe Chetraru. He said the institution he heads can find the money and there was no need to pay a foreign company,” he stated.
